Interview with Emilio Tejedor, Iberdrola, at World Biodiversity Summit – Montreal 2022

As one of the major global stakeholders in the energy and renewable energy industry, Iberdrola is a Summit Partner of World Biodiversity Summit 2022 and an active member of its network.


At World Biodiversity Summit in Montreal, Emilio Tejedor, Head of Environment and Quality at Iberdrola, delivered a keynote at the Session “Powering Nature – Innovating Energy for Biodiversity”. In this interview with the World Climate Foundation, Emilio Tejedor presents the company's biodiversity plans leading up to 2030 and explains how Iberdrola is committed to supporting the implementation of the new Global Biodiversity Framework.

About Emilio Tejedor

Emilio Tejedor is the Head of Environment and Quality at Iberdrola. He is responsible for the definition of groupwide strategies and goals on environmental performance and management, including biodiversity goals and circularity plans. His team also promotes innovation projects on environmental reporting and ecosystem conservation. With over 15 years of experience in Iberdrola, he has developed several managerial roles such as Head of Knowledge Management and Head of Innovation Sustainability and Quality at ScottishPower (Iberdrola’s UK subsidiary). Telecommunication engineer by training, Emilio holds a Master's in Business Administration from the Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid.
