A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Jens Nielsen

Jens Nielsen has worked in more than 20 countries performing strategy and transformation work for some of the largest companies in the world, including as an industry leader in PricewaterhouseCoopers in the nineties. He was a top executive during the global roll-out of one of the largest PR and communications company Cision PR Newswire, through the early 2000s.
He is the founder and CEO of World Climate Foundation, which has established itself as the foremost international stakeholder platform for accelerating the green economy through partnerships across businesses, governments, investors and civil society. Among other activities, World Climate Foundation hosts the successful global summits World Climate Summit and World Biodiversity Summit. Jens Nielsen is also a founder and director of the public-private partnership Climate Investment Coalition, which is known for facilitating multi-billion USD in climate investments from international institutional investors before 2030. He is a board member of Climate Planet Foundation and of Art2030.
