A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

World Biodiversity Summit - Sharm el-Sheikh
World Biodiversity Summit - Sharm el-Sheikh takes place on 15 November during COP27 at the Park Regency and digitally. The Summit is a platform that will convey commitments, highlight bold leadership and investments, build cross-sectoral partnerships and develop initiatives for bridging climate and biodiversity, facilitating the task force for nature-related financial disclosures (TNFD).

Our second-year Summit serves as a global forum
for investment-driven solutions to the biodiversity
crisis and will attract global representatives including institutional investors, financiers, policymakers
and government leaders, technology and project developers, agricultural and infrastructure agents, experts in the biodiversity field and leading international organisations.
At World Biodiversity Summit - Sharm el-Sheikh, you can expect high-level panel discussions on themes such as sustainable forest management, ocean conservation, how to develop nature-positive agricultural systems and the importance of bold leadership for tackling biodiversity loss.
