A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Domingo Peas Nampichkai
Territories Coordinator, Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Ecuadorian Amazon
Uyunkar Domingo Peas Nampichkai is an Achuar leader from Ecuador with a history of serving the indigenous movement. Currently Uyunkar is the territories coordinator for the Amazon Sacred Headwaters Initiative for the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of the Ecuadorian Amazon (CONFENIAE) which represents 11 indigenous nationalities from the Amazon. Domingo served as the director of communication for the Achuar Nation of Ecuador from 2000-2003. He is the founder of Achuar community of Sharamentsa and served as the Vice President of CONFENIAE from 1993-1996. He also was the Vice-President and President of CODENPE (Council of Nationalities and Peoples of Ecuador).Â
