Despite the fact that the Blue Economy has been estimated to generate US$2.5 trillion a year, the ocean’s life-sustaining functions have been compromised. Deteriorating marine resources pose a threat to all water-related business activities and to the livelihoods of those who depend on them. This panel discussion will shed light on the need for cross-sectoral collaboration and investments to scale up innovative technologies necessary to harness the vast opportunities that the Blue Economy offers.
