Oceanic Innovation

- Fostering Life on a Sustainable Earth

11:00

-11:30

The importance of the world’s oceans for biodiversity cannot be overstated. 80% of all life on Earth is found in the oceans. They contain around a quarter of a million known species, with still more to be discovered - scientists estimate that at least two thirds of the world’s marine species are yet to be identified. At the same time, the threats faced by oceans, including overconsumption and pollution, have never been greater.

In this keynote session, speakers will share examples of best practice when it comes to protecting marine biodiversity. They will highlight the important innovations, opportunities, and developments that will drive the protection of marine ecosystems in the future.
