A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Jennifer Merli
Vice President, Corporate Sustainability, Mastercard
Jennifer Merli is Vice President of Corporate Sustainability at Mastercard. Having spent the last 19 years in payments product development and management at both Mastercard and financial institutions, she now leads Mastercard’s environmental sustainability initiatives including execution of Priceless Planet Coalition, our commitment with partners to restore 100 million trees globally over the next 5 years.
Since joining Mastercard in October 2009, Jennifer has also held various product management positions at the North America and global level. Over more than a decade, she led the development and go-to-market execution of payment and data solutions across Mastercard’s small business, corporate travel and B2B payments businesses, working closely with banks, technology companies and corporates of all sizes to promote the growth of these segments across the globe.
Prior to MasterCard, she held roles in business development, marketing, and product management at Citi and GE. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University in New York and an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business. She is based in Mastercard’s global headquarters in Purchase, New York.
