A new key biodiversity platform for cross sectoral collaboration
For its inaugural launch, World Biodiversity Summit will help define what world leaders and the private sector in biodiversity and climate action need to do in the medium and long term to achieve sustainable development and hinder further biodiversity loss, focusing on partnerships and investment mechanisms as levers of progress. World Biodiversity Summit is a platform for responding to accelerating biodiversity loss, by using the Paris Agreement as a framework to learn from, promoting relevant solutions, innovations, and leadership networks, strengthening nature restoration and conservation. Nature-based solutions will be highlighted, from specificecosystems to global possibilities.

Dr. Carmine De Franco
Head of Research, Ossiam
Carmine joined Ossiam in May 2012 and is currently Head of Fundamental Research. He designs and develops new investment strategies, coordinates and leads research projects. He is co-author of several research papers on smart beta, minimum variance, regime switching models, interest rates and equity duration, ESG investing, machine learning in quantitative investing, carbon footprinting and portfolio decarbonization.
Prior to Ossiam, Carmine worked four years in the Faculty of Mathematics of the University Paris VII - Denis Diderot. He graduated from the University of Roma II - Tor Vergata and the University Paris VII - Denis Diderot and holds a PhD in Financial Mathematics and a Master’s degree in Financial Random Modeling.
